Our design process begins with a thorough consultation and site survey during which we will determine both your needs and desires for the structure and the best way to create a space that will be in harmony with its natural surroundings. Once a floor plan is decided on, we will move into the realm of 3D, where you will watch, in personal meetings or over the internet, your structure take shape. |

The possibilities range from the simple to the sublime. Whether its a family dwelling, a cabina, yoga platform, greenhouse or a garage you have several design concepts to choose from. This page offers a taste, but really, with Guadua, the possibilities are endless. |

The Riverhouse is the first structure we built of Guadua and is based on centuries-old Colombian indigenous structural techniques. Conceptually, it is a two story structure inspired by the raised houses of Thailand and Indonesia. Based on a five-cane column design in which the central cane reaches the roof and the four outer columns support the second floor. A lattice of double canes span distances of up to 5 meters. This structural style is most suited to two story plans. |

When called upon to design a 3 story structure, we adopted a four cane column design that takes the structural possibilities to the next level... literally. This column allows us to create infinite split levels in our designs. Best suited to large spaces, the quad-column makes use of the incredible strength of Guadua, steel and cement filling the internodes. The "Guadruple" is also an element in out hybrid home concept- a 3 story internal concrete home with multi-level Guadua and hardwood decking spiraling around the structure providing 360 degree views. Similarly, this column can be used in place of less beautiful concrete columns in a variety of applications. The four cane design also allows us to create massive cantilevers for decks and roof structures. |

The Sacred Star is a structural concept with a multitude of applications. It is based on a set of "bones" that can be repeated infinitely to build long structures perfect for storage and garage facilities as well as potential adaptations for family dwellings. |
